All numbers given are maximums or minimums, and are only distances at which individual pixels will no longer be distinguishable. For some applications, the display may need to be larger, lower resolution, or mounted closer to the viewer to be comfortable, whereas for other applications, the display may be smaller, higher resolution, or mounted further from the viewer, as items on screen are large enough that the added resolution is of no benefit.
